Question about these terms?hello@farlounge.com
01

Acceptance

These terms govern your use of the Farlounge website at farlounge.com and any pages, tools, account features, Team workspaces, APIs or content available on it. By accessing or using the service you confirm that you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

02 / Services

Free and paid services

Farlounge's individual tools, guides, Journal posts and FAQs are generally provided free of charge without a sign-up requirement. Trip Briefs, Trip Packs, Year Passes, Team workspaces and any other clearly identified paid products are subject to the price, billing interval and product details shown before purchase.

We may add, modify or remove features as the service develops. We may temporarily suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, performance or abuse-prevention reasons. Where a paid service is materially affected, we will take reasonable steps to restore it or provide an appropriate remedy where required by law.

03 / Billing

Payments, subscriptions and cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe. The amount and billing interval are shown before checkout. One-time products are charged once. Subscription products, including the Year Pass and Team plan, renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until they are cancelled.

Team is currently billed monthly at the displayed per-seat price, subject to the minimum seat quantity shown before purchase. Your subscription price can change only where we give appropriate notice or you actively agree to a different plan or quantity.

While self-service subscription management is being introduced, you can request cancellation by emailing hello@farlounge.com from the account email. Please send the request before the next renewal date. Once cancellation is processed, recurring billing stops and access normally continues until the end of the current paid billing period unless we tell you otherwise.

Nothing in these terms removes any statutory cancellation, refund or consumer rights that apply to you. If you believe a payment is incorrect or you are legally entitled to a refund, contact us and we will review it promptly.

04 / Team

Team workspaces and traveller access

A Team subscription is purchased and administered for an organisation or working group. The Team administrator controls invitations and assigns available seats. A seat is intended for one named Team member at a time and must not be shared between unrelated users.

Team lets an administrator create a shared trip and generate a personal Trip Brief and checklist for selected Team travellers. Each traveller's checklist is personal to that traveller. Team administrators may see trip assignments and readiness progress so they can coordinate travel preparation. Team is a planning and visibility tool, not a travel booking service, security service or replacement for an employer's legal, insurance, risk-management or duty-of-care responsibilities.

The customer is responsible for ensuring it has an appropriate basis to invite Team members, assign trips and use employee or contractor information within Farlounge. Do not upload passport numbers, medical records or other sensitive documents unless a future Farlounge feature expressly asks for them and provides appropriate controls.

05 / Use

What you may and may not do

You may

  • Use the tools and content for personal or legitimate business travel planning.
  • Use paid Trip Briefs within the account or Team workspace entitled to them.
  • Share links to public pages on the site.
  • Quote short excerpts with attribution and a link to the source.

You may not

  • Republish, sell or redistribute substantial portions without written permission.
  • Share account credentials or bypass paid-access or Team-seat controls.
  • Scrape or crawl the site at a rate that interferes with normal operation. Reasonable search-engine and assistant crawling is welcome. See robots.txt and llms.txt.
  • Disrupt the service, probe for vulnerabilities without agreement or distribute malicious code.
  • Misrepresent your relationship to Farlounge.

06 / Important limits

No professional advice

Farlounge provides practical travel information and preparation guidance. It is not legal, financial, medical, immigration, insurance or security advice. In particular:

  • Flight-delay compensation figures are guidance based on UK261 and EU261. A claim depends on its facts, the airline's defence and applicable law.
  • Currency figures use indicative or mid-market rates and can exclude provider spreads, fees and limits.
  • Weather forecasts can change rapidly. Do not make safety-critical decisions based solely on a forecast.
  • Adapter information is correct to the best of our knowledge, but standards and outlets can vary within a country.
  • Visa, passport, health, vaccination, entry and security requirements can change. Verify important requirements with the relevant government, embassy, airline, insurer or other official source before travelling.

07 / External services

Third-party content and links

The service links to third-party websites and uses data from third-party providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices or availability. A link is provided for convenience and does not by itself imply endorsement.

08 / Ownership

Intellectual property

Original text, code, design and branding on the site are © Farlounge. Third-party data, including weather forecasts and exchange rates, remains the property of its respective providers. Trademarks belong to their respective owners. Purchasing access gives you a right to use the relevant Farlounge output; it does not transfer ownership of the underlying service or content.

09 / Legal limits

Warranties and liability

We use reasonable care in operating Farlounge, but travel information can become outdated or be affected by third-party errors, service outages and changing official requirements. You remain responsible for checking information that is important to your journey and for making your own travel decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Farlounge is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, loss caused by reliance on information that a reasonable traveller should verify with an official source, or failures of third-party providers outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

10 / Jurisdiction

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction to resolve disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that give you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

11 / Updates

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. If a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide appropriate notice where required. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
